I wish I knew this before… Part 2!

Welcome to Part 2 of my 3-part video series about my greatest lessons learned when it comes to dealing with difficult situations in the workplace.

Lesson 1 was a biggie: We often wait to find the courage to have difficult conversations, when in reality it is through having these conversations that we become courageous.

Lesson 2 was just as powerful for me: Get comfortable with the mess… because guess what? Sometimes dealing with the potential mess is better than not dealing with the situation.

This particular lesson was also a difficult one for me learn.

I was great at creating vivid scenarios in my mind about everything that could go wrong if I tried to raise and address a difficult issue in the workplace and how badly I would handle things if they blew up.

In today’s video, I’m sharing a couple of of strategies that helped me get past these fears!

I’ve come to find that these types of struggles are universal – I often work with leaders on how they can overcome these very same issues so that life at work can ultimately become less stressful and more joyful for everyone :)

My hope is that you’ll take whatever speaks to you in these little clips and apply it in your own life, so that you don’t have to struggle as much through difficult workplace situations.
